a new creative chapter for heelswithcyrus.
heelswithcyrus is the beginning of my journey as an independent heels dancer, choreographer and creative.
i’m currently developing my practice across performance, choreography, teaching and cabaret, with the long-term goal of creating original shows and bringing my own ideas to the stage.
this page is where i’ll share the projects, ideas and creative experiments I'm working on as heelswithcyrus grows.

exploring what heels can become on stage.
one of the areas I'm most excited to explore is cabaret.
i’m interested in combining heels with R&B, commercial dance, floorwork and musical-theatre influences to create performances that are expressive, theatrical and entertaining.
i’m currently in the early stages of developing ideas around what my own cabaret work could look and feel like — exploring music, movement, themes, characters and performance.
this is the beginning of a longer-term ambition to create original cabaret pieces and eventually develop them into complete shows.

choreography has already been an important part of my dance journey.
during university, i was part of the heels society committee, where i had the opportunity to choreograph for the society's heels show and teach heels classes.
i’m now looking to take that experience further through heelswithcyrus — developing choreography influenced by R&B, commercial, floorwork and musical-theatre/jazz heels.
i’m currently experimenting with movement, musicality, performance quality and storytelling while continuing to discover what my own choreographic style looks like.

one of my biggest goals for heelswithcyrus is to eventually create my own shows.
i’m not there yet — and that's part of the exciting process.
right now, i’m beginning to explore what those productions could look like, from individual choreography pieces and cabaret concepts to larger ideas involving dancers, music, storytelling and theatrical performance.
the aim is to gradually develop these ideas into original work that can eventually be performed for an audience.

as i begin this new chapter, i'm also interested in meeting other creatives who want to experiment and create.
i’m open to collaborating with dancers, choreographers, performers, musicians, photographers, videographers and other artists on projects that allow us to develop new ideas and learn from one another.
for me, collaboration is an opportunity to grow creatively while creating something that neither person could have made alone.

heels classes & workshops.
creating spaces to learn, move and build confidence in heels.
teaching is an important part of what I want heelswithcyrus to become.
during my time on the heels society committee at university, i had the opportunity to teach heels classes and share my approach to movement, performance and confidence with other dancers. i'm now looking to build on that experience by developing heels classes and workshops through heelswithcyrus.
my classes draw from R&B, commercial dance, floorwork and musical-theatre/jazz heels, with a focus on musicality, performance quality, confidence and individuality.
as the business develops, i’m interested in offering different types of sessions — from open-level heels classes and choreography workshops to more focused sessions exploring floorwork, performance and heels technique.
i’m also interested in creating workshops that go beyond simply learning choreography, giving dancers the opportunity to explore how they perform, how they use their body and how they find their own confidence in heels.
whether it's a one-off workshop, a regular class, a private session or a session for a dance society or group, i’d love to create an environment where dancers can learn, experiment and have fun.

heelswithcyrus is a new business, so there are plenty of ideas that are still taking shape.
as i develop my work, i'll use this space to share upcoming choreography, performances, creative projects, collaborations and future show concepts.
some projects may start as a simple choreography idea or rehearsal. others may grow into something much bigger.
i’ll be documenting the journey as it happens.
